Santan Coconut powder is made from fresh desiccated Coconut (which means the coconut meat obtained from shredding, chipping or powdered and then dried out). It is prepared by removing natural moisture in the coconut fruit and could be used to save time and effort for preparing various recipes. It could be used for cooking, baking or garnishing.

It could be mixed in water to create coconut milk, which is the perfect substitution for dairy milk and can be used to make desserts, puddings, ice-creams, hot cocoa and smoothies. Also a favorite in Asian cuisine it is frequently used in a variety of curries, kormas, sauces and soups. If you’re craving a sweet glazed dessert, just add water and sweetener.

Santan Instant Coconut Milk Powder Barfi

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup Santan Instant Coconut Milk Powder
  • 1 Cup Milk Powder
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • ¼ Cup Desi Ghee
  • ½ Cup Sugar
  • 2 Piece Cardamom
  • 2 Tablespoons Pistachios Chopped

Instructions
 

  • Heat a pan, add milk, desi ghee and mix thoroughly.
  • Add milk powder and stir continuously.
  • When the mixture becomes thick, add sugar and stir continuously and after 2 minutes add Santan Instant Coconut Milk Powder and crushed cardamom in the pan.
  • Cook the mixture on low flame.
  • Stir continuously until it reaches the freezing consistency.
  • Turn off the flame and transfer the mixture on a greased plate, spread evenly chopped pistachios.
  • After an hour cut the barfi into desired shape and size.
  • Delicious coconut barfi is ready to serve.

Coconut Curry Chicken

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • 1 Medium Onion Chopped
  • 2 Large Shallots Minced
  • Table Salt As per taste
  • 3 Cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 Tablespoon Ginger Freshly grated
  • Tablespoon Curry Powder
  • 3 Tablespoon Razmin Tomato Paste
  • 1 Pack Santan Coconut Milk Powder (50 grams)
  • ½ Cup Water
  • ¾ Kg Chicken Breasts Skinless, boneless and cut into 1" pieces
  • ½ Lime Juice
  • Lime Wedges For serving
  • Mint Leaves Torn for serving
  • Coriander Leaves Torn for serving
  • Boiled Rice For serving

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil and butter, over medium heat, in a large pot or high-sided skillet. When butter is melted, add onion and shallots. Cook until tender and translucent, 6 to 8 minutes.
  • Add garlic, ginger and curry powder and cook until fragrant, for 1 more minute.
  • Add Razmin tomato paste and cook until darkened slightly, for 1 to 2 more minutes.
  • Mix Santan Coconut Milk Powder in ½ cup of water, add to pot and simmer on low heat.
  • Add chicken while stirring occasionally. Add some water for cooking the chicken (if needed). Cook until chicken is thoroughly tender, 10 minutes.
  • Stir in lime juice and garnish with lime wedges, mint and coriander.
  • Serve hot with boiled rice.
